About Intelig
Intelig Telecom operated in the Brazilian telecommunications market between 2000 and 2010. It was one of the pioneers in many telecommunications and internet issues in Brazil.
In January 2000, it brought competition to our country, specifically in the area of national and international telephony.
In 2003 the company began working in the local telephone market and in 2005 it began providing internet through InteligWeb.
Right from the beginning, it was a mirror company for Embratel, a brand that today belongs to Grupo Claro.

Intelig aimed to offer services to the corporate world, started as a long-distance operator and began to expand its portfolio, offering data, hubbing and local calling services.
InteligWeb
Following the flow of other telecommunications operators, Intelig created InteligWeb, a service that offered free dial-up access.
The company operated with its own currency, called Pii. It worked like this: the more time you spent connected to dial-up internet, the more Pii's you had and could convert them into money.
The Pii's, or credits, became bonuses to use as real money, for every hour connected you can accumulate around R$0.45.
With these credits you could buy from InteligWeb, which operated with an affiliation program in partnership with other companies, such as Americanas, Carrefour, Submarino and others.
InteligWeb provides photolog services, virtual HD of up to 1GB and electronic mail, also known as e-mail nowadays.
And it was in 2010 that the company sent an email to all users informing them that their connection would end. But it was in 2012 that all of the company's services were discontinued without prior notice.
TIM and Intelig
In 2009, TIM bought Intelig for R$1,140,650 million, but as we already know, Intelig ceased to exist in 2010.
The telecommunications company, TIM, decided to discontinue the company's services and migrated approximately 3 thousand customers from the old brand to its service network, the process lasting at least two years.
As a result, all of Intelig's electronic components that were installed in its customers' homes were removed and discarded; they could not be reused due to their useful life, which reached ten years.
After the services were completed, TIM completely incorporated the former company's portfolio, inheriting all of its clients.
Now they have started to serve large companies, offering internet connection, landlines and international and national communication networks.
Did you understand the story of its rise and what really happened to Intelig? In its last moments of activity in the Brazilian market, it was part of the Tim Group.
And it ended up being closed, but for many people it was part of the history and evolution of telecommunications in our country. She is still remembered today in the history of the internet, cell phone and telephony in Brazil.
